Pixel Lineage Combat, Energy and Status Effects
Make each Pixel Lineage combat turn solve a concrete problem: damage an enemy, survive its next action, recover health, or afford a useful skill. Learn timing prompts, Energy costs and cooldowns, then read statuses by the part of the turn they actually change.
The strongest move is not always the best turnConcrete turns, separate resource checks, and readable statuses.
The strongest move is not always the best turn
Attack timing increases damage, while defensive responses reduce what comes back. Guard and Meditate offer different commitments: one protects the hero until the next turn, while the other gains one Energy without Guard. Mage adds a paid barrier exception, making class identity relevant even to a familiar button.
Read Energy and cooldown separately before choosing a skill. Enough Energy cannot remove a remaining cooldown, and a ready move can still be unaffordable. Statuses then add another layer: Burn threatens health at turn start, Blind changes hit chance, and Dazed skips the next action. The right response begins with identifying which part of the plan has changed.

Two common battle assumptions
Does Speed Up change turn order?
No. It adds 25 percentage points of critical chance. Plan around the attack’s crit opportunity rather than expecting the hero to act earlier.
Can I escape an adventure fight?
Run is unavailable in adventure battles. Arena uses it as a forfeit, while guild raids and the Training Dummy permit exit. The mode determines the rule.
