Pixel Lineage: How to Gain Energy During Battle
Recover Energy through rounds, Meditate, healing refunds, and Legendary Powers, then choose a source that fits the skill you need next.
Recover Energy in Pixel Lineage through the normal one-per-round generation, Meditate for one extra Energy, or build effects that add starting resources, refunds or recovery. Choose the source that addresses your timing problem: an expensive opening move and a long fight do not need the same solution.
This gameplay video shows the interface and turn-based rhythm that the following choices use.
Use the reliable battle options first
Automatic generation adds one Energy per round. Meditate adds one while taking your action, without the protection of Guard. If a missing point prevents the next important skill and the incoming turn is survivable, Meditate can make that skill available sooner.
Do not Meditate simply because the pool is below its cap. Decide what the extra point buys. If the desired move remains on cooldown, another attack or a defensive action may contribute more while the timer runs down.
Match a recovery effect to its trigger
| Option | Known effect | Useful situation |
|---|---|---|
| Meditate | Gain one Energy using the turn | One extra point enables the next action |
| Bard Encore | Successful healing restores one Energy | Recovery is already needed |
| Surge | Start with two extra Energy | Opening resource shortage |
| Mana Tide | Gain one Energy every third turn | Longer battles |
| Soulfeast | A finishing blow grants one Energy and heals 12% max HP | Fights with finishable targets |
| Overcharge | Skills costing at least three Energy refund one and deal 25% more damage | Expensive skills used as part of the build |
The refund and trigger matter as much as the amount. Soulfeast needs a finish, so it is not a dependable opening solution against one healthy boss. Encore needs successful healing, so using a heal without a useful recovery purpose is different from benefiting during a necessary heal.
Starting bonuses do not replace a long-fight plan
Surge helps at the beginning. Mana Tide helps as turns continue. If the problem is repeatedly falling short halfway through a battle, an opening-only bonus and a recurring source answer different parts of the sequence.
Similarly, increasing the cap allows more banking but does not automatically increase generation. Keep the normal cap and the displayed pool distinct from the sources that actually add Energy.
Spend the recovery on a useful result
Work backward from the next skill: note its Energy price and cooldown, then choose whether waiting, Meditating, or using the current pool gives the better turn. Combine recovery with the actions your class already wants to take. A refund that fits that rhythm is more practical than a named effect whose trigger rarely happens in your fights.
